Coastal Habitats
To the coast to visit the fishponds at Ma’agan Michael to see how
fish are farmed and observe the many winged visitors; this place is a
magnet for many bird species. It is possible to see all three indigent
kingfishers: White-throated-, Pied-, and Kingfisher. The ponds are
teeming with Storks, Glossy Ibis, Night Herons, Passerines, Hirundines,
Waders and many more. During Spring and Fall migration, visit Kfar
Kaseem to witness the magnificent sight of flocks of raptors soaring
overhead including the rare Lesser Spotted Eagle and the Levant
Sparrowhawk.
